I have to say, as much as I’m going to miss turquoise waters, long summer days, and white sandy beaches I’m starting to look forward to Autumn in London. Now that we’re back from holiday I’ve been receiving loads of requests asking what wear for fall so am sharing all of my fall favourites and a few keys pieces with one of my favourite sites – My Theresa.
SKINNY NECKLINES AND FABULOUS SKIRTS
Firstly, I am loving skinny simple necklines. Turtlenecks are always beautiful, even simple round neck jumpers. They look really really lovely with a statement skirt and seem to always be a classic piece, especially during these transitional months.
Lately I’ve been wearing mine with this amazing MSGM snake print skirt from My Theresa. It has been my absolute go-to both last winter and also this summer. They have done it again in an amazing version that I’ve linked here from My Theresa. You’ll see another favorite below, but I am LOVING Snakeprint right now…
Another piece I’m loving with a simple skinny turtleneck is this gorgeous sequin skirt from My Theresa. Last year I bought the silver one and wore it so much. The red colour is beautiful contrasted against the dark hues of fall and is super super comfortable — Great autumn addition.
Leather skirts are another fall staple I just love and wear loads this time of year. Mine is from last year but I’ve linked a Red Valentino from My Theresa which is almost similar and has a beautiful scalloped bottom, and it is super buttery and soft. This Joseph leather midi is another one similar to mine that is quite nice.
CHUNKY NEUTRAL KNITS
Come Autumn, I always find it really useful to have a chunky neutral knit that goes with everything. One you can wear with a great pair of denim and boots or wear over a silky slip dress and booties as more of a transitional layered look. This Acne knit that I’m wearing with my favourite fall boots is so so comfortable and I love that the neckline can be worn with great statement jewellery. I’m also loving this wool cream knit by Joseph. It’s completely changes the look of this silk satin slip dress – amazing both with and without a chunky neutral knit.
A GREAT PAIR OF BOOTS
Everyone needs a great pair or two of boots for fall. As I mentioned, I am loving Snake print right now and these Paris Texas Boots are the most phenomenal pair of boots, plus they’re quite reasonably priced for how nice they are. I love the tall over the knee length. They’re great with jeans or great with a cosy knitted mini dress. They also come in almost identical ankle version and a few other colours and textures that I’ve all linked below. Jimmy Choo have also made some amazing boots which are actually very similar in style to Paris Texas and DIVINE, but they are double and more the cost, but included them below.
For an ankle boot, these Gianvioto Rossi heels are perfect. They look amazing with a midi skirt and the polka dot lace is just divine.
A KEY STATEMENT NECKLACE
My favourite accessory this season is a statement necklace, especially paired with the skinny neckline or chunky knit . Unfortunately my exact necklace is no longer available but I’ve found one that is quite similar by Oscar De La Renta and a few other styles that I love.
A STANDOUT STATMENT KNIT / CARDIGAN
On the statement note, in additional to having a versatile neutral knit, I also love to have a statement knit or cardigan to add to my wardrobe. Last year and the year before I invested in a few knits with a statement sleeve, which I will be wearing again this year. If you’ve seen my stories or follow me on the LiketoKnow. It App you may have already seen a glimpse of my favourite pink Miu Miu mohair cardigan. It’s perfect for layering and just so comfortable. It also comes in other colours if pink isn’t your thing. They also do a really leopard blend in brown tones and blush tones and a lovely red colour that I’ve also linked. I also really really love the statement detailing of the neckline on this Miu Miu cardigan. Similarly, I’ve worn it with a leather skirt and a mini. Another all around great investment buy.
BOLD BELTS
This season, belts are really in, especially with a nice midi skirt to accentuate the waistline with all of the autumnal layering. I’ve linked several of my favorites from My Theresa — black and bold is always a winner or again zebra print, a big reoccurrence this fall.
DRESSES, DRESSES, DRESSES
If you’ve been following me for a while, you know I just love dresses. They’re always perfect for transitioning from summer into autumn and one can never have enough! Wear alone in the evening or a warmish day, throw over a chunky knit, layer with a sweater, or add boots, dresses really are super adaptable. My Theresa has an amazing selection for Fall. This Magda Butrym that I wore in Paris is the PERFECT party dress. The colour just pops, the velvet is stunning, plus it looks fab with black tights in the winter. I am also obsessed with this Alessandra Rich cafe coloured silk midi —( I will post it soon) another one that is even more stunning on.
THE MAX MARA TEDDY COAT
ThisMax Mara teddy coat is one of those pieces that I lived in last fall/winter and am really pleased I invested in. It’s so light to wear, super comfortable, and just looks amazing. Two years ago I purchased a high street version which I loved and wore so much that I thought I would invest in the original teddy, and I AM SO GLAD I did. It really does look so beautiful in real life.. I love it so much I got the black also last year. It always sells out but keeps coming back every year.
LOEWE CAMEL COAT
This belted Loewe coat sells out every year so I had to included it once I saw it was back at My Theresa. I love this one so much. It’s a classic and another key piece thats truly worth the investment.
